Radio 1190 saved my life. Boulder and Denver had become a radio blight-zone, and then there was this new kid on the AM dial. Integrity, passion and good ears, with DJs that actually liked music! Thought that frequency had sunk to the bottom of the 'clear' channel. The Boredoms aboriginal Okinawan tribal stomp was pretty intense, but it was Hovercraft that stole the show, with an amazing video backdrop that was completly sync'ed to the music. I asked the drummer and he said he wore a little bike-mirror so he could keep the propellant time locked in with the images. The kiddies in the poster were a manga lift, redrawn as little indie-wanna-be's in training...
